Replacing the popular FJ200, the FJ250 introduces user-requested upgrades including a full-color OLED touchscreen, group indicator color lighting, a native Bowens S-type mount, and full compatibility with Westcott’s advanced FJ lighting ecosystem. With total integration across the FJ wireless system, the FJ250 simplifies complex lighting setups so you can focus on capturing precise, professional results.
Effortless Touchscreen Control
At the heart of the FJ250 is a modern full-color OLED touchscreen designed for speed and ease of use. An integrated help screen guide assists photographers of all experience levels, allowing quick adjustments without navigating complicated menus. This intuitive interface makes the FJ250 one of the most accessible and efficient off-camera strobes available.
The native Bowens S-type mount supports a wide range of light modifiers, and an included insert enables quick attachment of optional Rapid Box Switch softboxes. Compact and lightweight, the FJ250 is Westcott’s most portable off-camera flash, built to keep up with demanding shoots.

Interchangeable AC/DC Battery System
Powering the FJ250 is a removable 29.6V, 74Wh, 2500mAh lithium-ion AC/DC battery, capable of delivering 850 full-power flashes or thousands at lower output on a 1.5-hour charge. LED status indicators keep you informed of remaining power. For extended sessions, the optional FJ ProMax battery increases capacity to up to 1400 full-power flashes.
Shared battery compatibility with the FJ400 II and FJ800 reduces the need for multiple power solutions, while AC trickle charging ensures uninterrupted performance during long shoots.
12W Bi-Color LED Modeling Light
A built-in 12W bi-color LED modeling light adjustable from 2700–6500K allows for accurate framing, composition, and previewing of light placement before firing the flash.
