The ProMaster Basis Variable Neutral Density (VND) Filter gives you flexible control over light, reducing exposure by 2 to 8 stops with a simple twist of the ring. Instead of carrying multiple ND filters, one VND does it all—perfect for both still photography and video.
By holding back light, this filter opens the door to creative effects and technical precision:
Still Photography: Use slower shutter speeds to create motion blur, such as silky smooth waterfalls or streaking clouds.
Videography: Maintain cinematic motion with a fixed shutter speed while shooting at wide apertures for shallow depth of field—even in bright conditions.
Designed with polished, multi-coated optical glass, Basis filters deliver sharp results while resisting reflections and flare. Hard stops at both ends of the range prevent over-rotation and simplify adjustments.
