Learn to see ordinary objects as fascinating photographic subjects.
This workshop includes three 2-hour class sessions:
1. Lecture: We'll discuss equipment and techniques to capture close-up images in awesome detail. Topics we will cover include camera settings, depth of field, fine-focusing and more.
2. Photo Shoot: This session is a hands-on photo shoot where you'll practice techniques discussed in the lecture, as we assist you with shooting macro in the classroom.
3. Show & Tell: Review and share images, and receive a COMPLIMENTARY print of your favorite photo from the photo session!

Wondering what those so called f-stops and shutters are really doing? This class will take you in depth into the many aspects of exposure. Learn light metering skills, f/stop controls, shutter controls, ISO controls, and especially the balancing act between them!

This one-day workshop will get you out of your camera's Auto Mode and into it's manual & programmable modes! You'll learn about the exposure triangle (ISO, shutter speed, and aperture) along with other important techniques and tools to help you control the way your photo looks. There will be hands-on practice drills throughout the class, along with time for Q&A.

We recommend attending our ILC Basics class before taking this class to introduce you to your camera brand's menu layout, along with proper care and handling of your gear.

There will be a break for lunch. Food will not be provided.
