Photo Scanning FAQ

Do I have to leave my photo for scanning? No but there are fees associated with rush services. If you prefer immediate scanning to avoid leaving your image at the store, it would necessitate prioritizing your request, effectively moving it to the front of the queue and labeled as a rush service, for which we charge a $10 fee.

However, please be aware that parts of your order, such as prints or restoration services, would remain subject to their regular turnaround times. We appreciate your understanding of the need for efficient time management in our store and are committed to delivering high-quality results in a timely manner.

Can you scan a photo that’s stuck to glass? Yes.In cases where a photo is adhered to the glass, it poses significant risks and challenges to both our staff and our scanning equipment, particularly broken glass. To mitigate potential issues, in most situations, we will opt to photograph the work to replicate a digital file accurately. For these types of orders, there is a $25 handling fee in addition to scanning charges. This additional fee reflects the extra care and effort required to ensure the successful digitization of your photograph.

Do I need to remove my photo from the frame? Yes, with exception. We do not accept images within a frame for scanning however in cases where the image cannot be removed from the frame without damaging it we will carefully photograph the photo in order to replicate it rather than scanning the image. For these types of orders, there is a $25 handling fee in addition to scanning charges. This additional fee reflects the extra care and effort required to ensure the successful digitization of your photograph.
