Sunset, Twilight & Night Shots 104

Great sunsets and night shots can be easy... if you know what you're doing. In the classroom, we'll teach you how to control the exposure by choosing the right camera modes (even manual) to get great low-light shots. How to Photograph Children 101

This class will share ideas that will help you create great photographs of children from toddler to the early teenage years. We’ll build your photographic skills in the areas of posing, composition, and managing light. Although some time will be spent discussing features and techniques common in most interchangeable lens cameras, owners of digital compact cameras will also benefit. This class assumes you have a good understanding of your camera and its various shooting modes/settings. In this 2-hour class you'll learn how to take great close-ups. Advanced Camera Flash 204

Let's get creative with our flash; which means getting it off your camera! We'll cover both wired and wireless options for getting the flash off camera, including TTL options or just plain manual options. Once off camera we'll look at some different equipment options like diffussion (softboxes/umbrellas), stands, & back drops. Onward to basic lighting techniques you can start working with. Photoshop Elements 101: Intro to Photoshop Elements 11

If you want to learn about Photoshop Elements, but have never used the software, then we highly recommend taking this class before plunging into the more advanced Elements workshops. We'll cover all the commonly used basic functions, and provide reference handouts. If you don't already own the current version of Adobe Photoshop Elements, you will have the opportunity to purchase a copy for HALF PRICE when you attend this class. $39 per person.

Photoshop Elements 102: Portrait Retouching

This class will teach you basic retouching for portraits, taking you from analyzing your photos to a finished portrait that is ready to print. We will cover RAW processing using the Camera Raw converter found in Photoshop, and then take you into editing your portraits. You will learn the tools and techniques for fixing red eyes, color balance and correcting color c asts, skin tone correction, brightening the whites on eyes and teeth, and softening skin texture and wrinkles. We will show you how to hide blemishes, remove under-eye circles, fix stray hairs, and other common portrait problems. 

Familiarity with Photoshop Elements is a prerequisite for this class. This class will teach you how to download, backup (to CD, DVD, and hard drive), organize, tag, caption, and set up face detection on your photos with Adobe’s Photoshop Elements. We will also go through all the basic functions and layout of the PS Elements Organizer. Basic editing in the quick edit menus will also be covered.
