Photoshop Elements 102: Portrait Retouching

 

This class will teach you basic retouching for portraits, taking you from analyzing your photos to a finished portrait that is ready to print. We will cover RAW processing using the Camera Raw converter found in Photoshop, and then take you into editing your portraits. You will learn the tools and techniques for fixing red eyes, color balance and correcting color c asts, skin tone correction, brightening the whites on eyes and teeth, and softening skin texture and wrinkles. We will show you how to hide blemishes, remove under-eye circles, fix stray hairs, and other common portrait problems. 

 

Familiarity with Photoshop Elements is a prerequisite for this class. RAW file format gives photographers a level of digital image control similar to working with film negatives, but with more dynamic control. Learn about the advantages of camera Raw format over JPEG. This class will walk you through the process of configuring the camera, downloading and opening Raw files, editing the data and “developing” the best images possible.

What’s more fun than reliving the past through photos? And the most important ones are the shots of the family at the lake, campgrounds, water park, Disney or wherever your travels may take you. In this 2-hour class, you’ll get great info that will help you take pictures you’ll cherish for a lifetime. We’ll discuss “future thinking” so you will know what shots you’ll ooh and aaaah over years from now. Open to owners of ANY type of camera, we’ll focus on recording family life through the years – the ultimate “feel good” for the future! $29 per person.

Nature & Wildlife Photography 104

This class will teach you in-depth lens and exposure techniques to improve your photos of nature and wildlife. We’ll discuss lighting, composition, exposure tricks, and which lens to use in order to turn those nice snapshots into fantastic images. The focus of this class is improving your nature and wildlife photos, but these techniques can be applied to all photography.

$39 per person.
